Phil always had the desire to entertain people. Starting at about the age of 10 he got a job to earn the money to buy a guitar and take lessons. He played in bands that did everything from country to punk to acoustic rock. Currently he is having a great time performing as a solo acoustic singer/songwriter. Phil has had two songs included in movies.

Over the years he also built an act and performed stand up comedy in addition to writing songs and playing music. He has appeared in comedy clubs throughout the entire U.S.

From 1996 to 1998 he hosted a popular local late night TV show called the Phil or Lynnette show (with his future ex-wife). The show was a mix of local musicians and comedy skits. POLS aired after SNL in the Twin Cities and had a very loyal following. It was at this time that he also realized he also liked acting. Since then he has appeared in plays (most recently "A Dreary Monday") and two independent movies ("Unholy Reunion" and "Thieves Like Us").

In addition he has done a one man Christmas Show annually each December for the past six years. And he is also currently in the process of writing a play. It will be a musical based on a children's story he wrote for his daughters several years ago.
